CrossFit Experience: It’s just been 1 year! Feels like I’ve been apart of this framily for years!

Favorite WOD/Exercise: Anything with weighted squats! – back squats or front squats are my favorite by far.

What is a PR (personal record) you are proud of? I just recently PR’d my Power Clean at 110.

Least Favorite WOD/Exercise: FIGHT GONE BAD! Any variation is awful.


Tell us about yourself. 

I just turned 21 years old. I work full time and go to school part time. I’m majoring in Early Childhood Education at Akron U.

Why did you start CrossFit?

I have always been athletic and loved being in a gym atmosphere ever since I can remember. I came to quite a few ‘bring a friend’ days and I immediately fell in love with 330. No other gym had pushed me the way they did here.

What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?

I love being welcomed every time I come into the gym. It doesn’t matter how long I’ve been away or if I’ve been there every day for 3 months. I’m always welcomed with smiles and laughter. The teamwork and camaraderie is something I’ve never received anywhere else. I love the support I get from every coach and athlete.

What motivates you to CrossFit?

Knowing that every morning when I walk into that gym my coaches and other athletes will support me and push me to be my best self.

What goals would you like to achieve in the next year that CrossFit can help you with?

I want to max out on my deadlift and work on adding more weight with overhead squats.

What would you tell someone who was thinking about starting CrossFit, but was nervous or scared?

There is zero reason to be nervous. It’s always nerve-wracking to try something new but you have nothing to lose!
